The installation process requires (HFE 90) liquid asphalt heated to 160 degrees and sprayed over a minimum 2 inch asphalt surface. The desired aggregate is then applied to the surface, spread evenly, and then rolled and compacted into the HFE 90 liquid asphalt. Any excess aggregate is then raked off and removed from the surface for years of enjoyment and use for the homeowner.
Optionally, many homeowners choose to add a steel or brick curbing to the driveway for additional beautification and refinement. This will also add longevity to the lifetime of the driveway and prevent the edges of the driveway from cracking away.
Chip and Seal Aggregates are available in a variety of colors including
black, pink stone, granite, Wisconsin Flintstone, bluestone, pea gravel, and also in a variety of textures. |
